Buying process

1

How do I know which ink suits my machine?

If you know your printer well, you will probably be able to identify which of the ink versions we offer can meet your expectations. If you have doubts, fill out the attached form and we will contact you as soon as possible to explain your options.

2

If I’m interested, who does the conversion?

It depends on the type of machine and inks you have and choose. There are versions of plug ang play ink where you will not need any type of conversion because they are fully compatible chemically and colorimetrically the same as OEM. There are others that will require a new conversion, calibration and profiling. In that case, it will be our responsibility to do it directly or through our dealers nationwide.

3

What about the warranty on my printer?

You will have a limited warranty that covers all the parts that the ink touches. The rest of the machine will continue to be the responsibility of the manufacturer.

4

What about the colors?

It depends on the series of inks you have; you can choose plug and play inks that are 100% colorimetrically compatible with OEM inks and you can continue using the original printer profiles. With any other type of alternative inks, we will take care of supplying or making the corresponding color profiles.

5

If a part of the machine is damaged and the distributor or the manufacturer of the printer does not want to sell me parts because I changed the inks, what do I do?

Through our networks and distributors we have access to original parts and accessories.

6

What post-sale support do I have from you?

Everything  you may need. At Kover we are here to help you directly or through our distributors.

7

If I wanted to go back to the original inks, what would be the process?

If you are using plug and play inks you can change from our inks to OEM without any problem, otherwise, upon request, we will take care of returning you to the original inks.

8

What guarantee do I have that there will always be ink in stock?

Our warehouses in Miami not only covers the entire Latin American territory but also the American market. This guarantees us a sufficient level of inventory to supply both territories.

9

If I am not happy with the ink, can I return it?

All inks have an expiration date. Any bottle or ink cartridge that is in original condition may be returned as long as it is within 30 days of purchase.

General Purpose Inks

1

What do general purpose inks refer to?

Until now, printing equipment manufacturers develop printers so that they are as versatile as possible and can be used on as many materials as possible even when some of them have significant limitations. This requires inks that achieve those goals.

We see how eco-solvent printers are capable of printing on any PVC or PVC-coated substrate, be it self adhesive vinyls, canvases, blankets and even PVC-coated textiles.

In the case of UV technology in large format printing, the issue of general use inks is even more accentuated. We understand that ultraviolet curing equipment in theory is capable of printing on any substrate, equipment manufacturers, known and unknown, make an effort for ink manufacturers to offer them one or perhaps two versions of inks that can satisfactorily cover as many substrates as possible, something extremely difficult to achieve due to the characteristics and variety of existing materials.

2

In which printers can I use these inks?

The portfolio is broad enough to cover most of the printers and printheads on the market. In any case, if when reading the specifications of each one you cannot identify which is the most convenient, please contact us and we will gladly advise you.

3

Within the general purpose range, what additional attributes do the inks you offer have?

In the case of eco-solvent inks, there are options that offer the same attributes as the original inks but we offer also ERP (enviromentally responsible product) option or other options with a wider color gamut than OEM ones.

4

Can I exchange the OEM inks with these inks whenever I want?

In the case of plug and play options, you can exchange OEM inks as many times as you need. Even combine OEM colors with other colors of our inks.

5

What is the outdoor durability of the inks?

All of our inks have been designed with the highest quality grade pigments available on the market. For this reason we are able to offer a 2-year outdoor warranty without lamination for eco-solvent and UV inks.

6

What is the durability of the ink from manufacturing date?

In the case of eco-solvent inks 18 months from the date of manufacture, UV and Sublimation 15 months from the date of manufacture.

7

Why are they not in the same price range as other third party inks?

Certainly our inks do not come to compete in the market for price but to offer additional attributes and services. All the components of each ink technology added to the knowledge and development costs do not allow us to offer prices to compete with other third party inks.

Specialty Inks

1

What ink technology are Specialty inks?

At the moment, the Specialty ink series are exclusively for UV technology as this is the technology that aims to print the largest number of substrates with one ink.

2

What differences can there be between a specialty ink and a general purpose ink?

General purpose inks were designed by printer manufactures to cover most substrates with a single ink. Specialty inks are inks specifically designed to overcome the limitations that exist on some substrates when printed with general purpose inks in very specific challenging medias.

3

In which printers can I use these inks?

The portfolio is broad enough to cover most of the printers and printheads on the market. In any case, if when reading the specifications of each one you cannot identify which is the most convenient, please contact us and we will gladly advise you.

4

What if I want to print as well other products that are not from the chosen series?

The specialty inks were designed to lessen the limitations when printing rigid substrates difficult to print with traditional inks. However, this does not mean that any of the ink series can print the traditional substrates such as canvas, vinyls, cardboard, etc.

5
